I will be there, on the way back from a week on Phillip Island just have to put up with the roads to omeo

hmm wondering if this should be cancelled or postponed due to lack of attendance... I don't mind either way, just seems pointless if only 2-3 people go. Plus it's probably going to be freezing :D

nothing paid for yet so easily canceled if need be

Hi everyone, just back from NZ had great time and made places we never have seen before. Cant make Omeo as Wedding at Ballarat. If you cancel Marcus will be on for rescheduled date. Denis, Diane.

Marcus . . SAAZ and I are in Victoria for the week and have booked in Omeo for Friday and Saturday nights . . We will be there regardless, so if the forecast is not great, we won't mind if you decide to pull out of the RTE . . . . Mind you, it will probably be the first Vic RTE only attended by 2 ACT riders . . LOL

Renner springs was a territory only ride, so an act only ride to Omeo would be ok!

At this point I'm thinking of postponing this. I'll check weather beginning of the week. But I can't see it improving

Postponed . . . Regardless . . SAAZ, GreenCan and STroppy turned up at Omeo for Friday and Saturday nights for dinner and some laps of the Alpine Roads . .

I stayed at Phillip Island the week before, with Terry for most of the week and Dick for the Wednesday night. So we had to come home anyway, so through Omeo sounded like a plan. Dick went back to Sunbury and we met up at Yea on the Friday for the run through Mansfield, Whitfield, and up to Omeo for Friday and Saturday nights.  I came via the Black Spur, which was still wet, a bit of snow on the side of the road, lots of slippery bark, and suicidal lyre birds running all over the place.

While the week before was windy and rainy, the weather turned it on for Friday through Sunday. Probably the best weather I have come across for the High Country.  Sunny, cool at night but quite nice during the day.

The Saturday was spent going from Omeo to Falls Creek via the Mitta Mitta road, Bright, then up over Hotham again.  A few pictures below.

On the way back Terry and I did the run towards Bruthen along with Dick, where we parted company as Dick was going back to Sunbury. Again very nice riding weather.

And so back to prepare to go to Uralla the weekend after....
