RTE to Moora
« on: August 27, 2012, 07:31:24 AM »
I would like to propose we have an RTE to Moora.

We could incorporate this with the Farride on the weekend of the 20th of October.

In that way, Farriders could do their bit, and the people who only want to do a shorter ride can come along as well.
If there is enough interest, I'll get my tail into gear, as to speak, to get the ram rolling.

If it turnes out to be an overnighter, those with trailers who want to the Farride could leave them with the group, in Moora, do the ride and return to a home cooked meal, the bed made and a happy smile :)

I'll be interested to know what the ideas are.

Love ewes.

Sounds like a great plan suit most everyone!  I admit to having to look up where Moora was, no wonder as I have not made it north of Perth as yet.  Once the flood of interest comes in, into the calendar it goes :)

There are a few that were possibly using the far ride as an excuse to overnight in Northampton ( Winstons Place) on that day, to meet up with Winston and excopper.

An overnighter to Moora sounds good but for me it would only work on another date. I'll be in Kalbarri Friday night & then taking off early Sat morning on a 400km loop & back for lunch hopefully then on to Northhampton to say G'day to Winston & back home Sunday

Why must you be difficult?

A scorpion once wanted to cross a river he asked a frog if he would carry him across? No said the frog once we get half way across you'll sting me & I'll drown. To which the scorpion said if I do that we''ll both drown. So the frog carried the scorpion across the river & sure enough half way there the scorpion stung the frog, the frog said why did you do that? now we are going to drown to which the scorpion said "It's in my nature"

I had thought, leave home and arrive in Moora on the Friday, trailer in tow.
Set up camp site, leave the trailer in Moora. Go to Kalbarri for 11am. come back to Moora for the RTE. Then ride home Sunday.

Winston and Excopper might like to meet/ stay in Moora overnight.

Just an Idea. If it gets too hard to organize, it won't happen.

Yes Dave I can do that for you.
But first you have to admit that the All Blacks are a great Rugby team.

Mal,

The All Blacks have a GREAT rugby team, there's no arguing that but the Wobblies Wallabies are the better side, for reasons I haven't thought of yet I won't go into at the moment.

I'll give you a ring about the other stuff.

Hi Malcolm, I agree "THE ALL BLACKS ARE A TOP TEAM!" I will be doing the Farride to Kalbarri up and back in the one day, so probably won't have time to stop at Moora for too long. But its definately past time for another outing and the weather is perfect this time of the year.  :runyay

I been talking to Scarp, with Moora being close, only 200k, it might be to difficult to have a big turn out on this weekend.

Would people agree that maybe earlier or later, not the same weekend might be a better idea.

Please have your comments of what you think.

With the Farride you need to make a fair distance before Saturday morning. Stopping at Moora is a big ask.
