Yep, I'll be there... Always up for a feed at Martians!! If anyone is travelling from far afield and needs tent space, I can hose the chicken crap off the back lawn for you (about 45mjn from Dean's Marsh)

Put me down for this ride Marcus - all 30 minutes of it.
Since I have committed I will have to fix my radiator.
It held up fine coming back from Logan until the slow work through Ballarat.
Started to overheat again, so stopped in Buninyong, took all the plastic off again,
topped up with water and was fine the rest of the way home.
I have to admit I have not investigated where it is leaking, that's a job on the list in the next few days.

I'm a maybe for this . . Having a minor surgical procedure just before this so depends on whether it affects comfort while riding . . After all it's only 800 ks . .

Well, all the plastic off, checked the radiator - its still full after Ballarat ( It was a 3 times fill from Geelong - Logan pub - Ballarat)
Ran the motor with all the plastic off, nice and hot, the thermostat fan stopping and starting - no sign of leaks anywhere.
Bled brakes and clutch while I had clear access. Should have changed the oil while it is easy, didn't have any at home.
Maybe I'll go into town tomorrow and get oil and filter.
Ran the motor up to hot several times and still no sign of leaks. The oil is good colour so water not going in there.
Maybe the gunge I added to the radiator on the way to Logan Pub needed a bit of time to work.
I'll change oil tomorrow and run it a few more times.
If still no leaks it should get me to Deans Marsh anyhow.

Is anyone interested in a Saturday morning ride before we meet at Deans Marsh ?
I am proposing a ride starting at Waurn Ponds Servo 8.00 am
Waurn Ponds to Anglesea 29.2 kms
Anglesea to Lorne 29.3 kms
Lorne to Apollo Bay 44.7 kms
Apollo Bay to Lavers Hill 47.3 kms
Lavers Hill to Colac 55.6 kms
Colac to Deans Marsh 33.5 kms
Total trip is approx 240 kms
Its an easy run with good windy roads and good coffee. We would be in Deans Marsh in plenty of time for lunch.

I did that ride last week at went through Colac about 11.15 am It depends on how long the stop is for coffee
The fun ride is from apollo bay to lavers hill. From Colac your almost there and its all straight run
would be glad to try and meet there though if you want to ride to Deans marsh with me

I wont be able to get away by 8am otherwise would join this ride...I will be leaving about 10:30 from Geelong and heading through Anglesea to Lorne, then turning off to Dean's Marsh. Feel free to join me if you (like me) don't have the time to do the full Lavers Hill loop.

...Bike wiped down, screen cleaned, tank filled, and all ready to roll early on Saturday morning.

I arrived home safe at 5.30 A bit disappointed that my camera has packed it in, and I didn't get any pix.
Will have to wait til some of the others post a ride report so I can snaffle some photos :grin
Great to meet some new faces to add to names, and catch up with others I have met on other rides. :thumbsup
Terrific food at Martians, great company, service and prices.... pity the huge burger was just too large for me (I only eat small meals)
