What's the story?? What happened?

All low level speeding speeding fines which had exceeded 12 demerit points in a 3 year period. I had elected to extend the demerit point period but if I incurred any further demerits license would be suspended. Recently got pinged on ring road doing 80 in 40 km work zone. I have sought a review as signage was quite confusing. I do lot of driving in my line of work averaging 300kms a day and of late am finding it impossible to avoid these low level speeding fines. Well I hoping for positive outcome from the review, meantime no driving or riding for me :'( and yes walking will surely do me good :crackup

There ya go Kev...even goood for blokes with dodgey knees :wink1. Now if there is ever an RTE within 50km of where I am, I'll ride it there...any further and I would need to make it an over nighter ;-*
Actually, it does get ridden once a month on 30km round trip with a Mate on his mighty 250 Greeves twin road bike...cant see us for smoke! So bring on the country wide fracking to keep us on the road I say.

Crickey J'thon (deliberately have left out 27 conconants and 14 vowels from your name to maintain anonymity :wink1)...was looking fwd to catching up for a chat seeing you went to all the trouble of finding the c/p for the overnight digs to. :'( And I'll omit the reccommendation that U could always catch a cab to... :law
Cheers the can :-)

Nice looking bike WOW: Many moons ago I had a similar bike, a two stroke James with Villiers engine, can't remember cc, 150 or 200.

Hi all :hatwave
Just a suggestion for those of us who are making this an overnigther whether a BBQ for the evening meal would be an option? As we will be traveling by car and have fridge, could procure and transport necessary cuts of meat and other requirements for BBQ. Would need volunteer to do the actual barbecuing 🤓
Cheers.
-
I cannot stay for BBQ, as my friend is due to broadcast from local radio station in the evening.
-
I'f be up for a BBQ and can burn meat if required but probably better at the salad making . .

Hi de hi intrepid motorcyclists, have we our warm and weather proof riding gear all laid out n ready to hit the open roads of bleakness? You know, we may need to turn the heated sets up to level 2 on Saturday too. :eek And cannot wait to see Strop in his full wets n helmet burning cow parts on a BBQ on Saturday nite...should be most entertaining.
Hey, and Jonathon, its days like this not having a bike licence, but having a chaffeur, cannot be such a bad thing. :thumbsup

I'm sorry but I have to pull out of this ride. Work commitment has been put on me.
-
I'm afraid I am suffering back, shoulder and arm problems and am not going to make this RTE . . Have a great time guys . .
-
Sorry to hear STroppy :'( get well soon. It's not going to be the best weather for riding. Will have to look for another volunteer to burn the meat :grin, maybe Sir Richard of Sunbury 🤓

Howdy all,
I'd been planning to come along, but must have forgotten to pipe up! Initially we were both planning to come and make a weekend away of it, but Em had to head back to NZ on family business last week. I'll still hope to get there, won't be able to stay for the cook-up though, will need to get home to make an airport run in the evening!
-
See you there, Steve :thumb
-
Got home by 5pm before the roos came out to play. Thanks for the ride. Great turnout. Good to see you Steve sorry we didn't get to chat. See you all on the next one

Great to get there and have a good chat today... I'm getting earlier and earlier each RTE, hoping to be on-time to the next one!!
...yes, I'm about to call Dad to make sure he holds onto his Square 4!
For a fun and scenic way to avoid the roadworks, here's the track I took today: https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=140e9590352fa5eba3&showInfo=yes&showHome=yes&hoursPast=0&fillFactor=100&zoomLevel=10&showAll=yes

...yes, I'm about to call Dad to make sure he holds onto his Square 4!
Good Man ++...now welcome to my world of grease, oil, leaks, unexplained stopages, frustration and above all, an overal feeling of both achievement and enjoyment only an old pommy bike can bring.
Cheers, the can :-)
-
Ah YES! They were the good old days, I remember them well!
-
Made a weekend of it, definitely the caper, dodged most of the showers too.
Food, wine & company was 2nd to none.
