Post by: saaz on October 25, 2014, 10:22:46 AM
I have an ST1100 seat that will not be in use for 9 months of the year.

John, are you saying Canberra is too cold to ride for 9 months of the year?

Oh No Yorkie, now you've done it. Saaz will get started on how he rides with ice buildup on his upper lip on a warm Canberran day and we won't hear the end of it.  o:)  :crackup

Yorkie I believe with ACT rego you can keep a vehicle registered 3 months of the year only and not need to get roadworth certs etc.

SAAZ peddles around on the Brit 9 months of the year and the 1100 gets a few runs over the other 3  :like

Chris has it right. If I renew for 3 months every year no need for an inspection, so I can move the registration period around over a few years.  Never too cold to ride around Canberra any time of the year, it does not snow as much as places like the Blue Mountains   :eek.  I mean -10c is not that bad as long as ice and snow are not on the road.

Ice on the screen usually only happens out round Yass or Goulburn, as the bike is in the garage when I leave  :rofl so the fog and cold take a while to set in. Anyway, heated seat, grips and vest tend to take care of that  :thumb
