I have just had an MCCruise Electronic Cruise Control installed on my ST1300 by Farkleit :runyay
After riding around for a bit with it I have done a review that I would like to share :thumbsup

Good review, and nice work Farkleit. :thumb

++ Nice mate.

Shiney did you get any photos when it was being installed?
Do you know where the electronic actuator was located?
Mine arrived a few weeks ago but still to be installed.
Trust I will be as pleased as you are
On the wing to cancel the cc I just give the clutch lever a very small touch

No photos mate, it was installed by Farkleit as part of his business.
Unfortunately I don't know where the electronic actuator was located however you can always contact Farkleit or MCCruise and I'm sure they can help :thumbsup

Since the move to the stepper-motor actuator on the ST1300, it is now located above the RH tip-over bar.
It's a long cylinder, unlike the previous vacuum can.
There are photos here: https://www.mccruise.com/products/13?variant=248329692 (https://www.mccruise.com/products/13?variant=248329692)
The 5th one down on the left is relevant.

So for some bikes you have to buy the kit that no longer comes with the vacuum actuator then pay another $130 for the electric servo. Bugger.

The standard kit now has the electric servo as standard. They cost a bit more than the previous kits, but then the servo is more complex. They don't make the vacuum servoes any more, but you can still get the essential parts for them.

Choosing several bikes at random on the MC cruise website yeilded the result of having to pay the extra for the electric servo on top of the kit price :-[

When I rode Wild Rose's bike, which has a vacuum MCCruise unit fitted, I thought that the throttle twist grip was a little heavier than my own ST which does not have cruise fitted. Perhaps other uses of MCCruise could comment.

Mine has the electric servo and I haven't noticed any difference... maybe it is only on the vacuum MCCruise unit?

Great review..
I have the ST1100 92 Pan European Model and i like to kep my license so I am looking at getting the cruise fitted.
|Looking at the page mccruise page there is n installer in Chlitern. Near me.. was wondering if anyone has used him at all?? Or I have to take it to Melbourne..
Brian Edwards is the chap..
Hate to pay all that money and have dodgy job done
Cheers
Ride Safe.. :bl11

So i have emailed the Melbourne stockist and the units are retailing at $1221 without the vacuum actuator. He is saying they have never fitted a 92 with the electric Throttle Servo and that the vacuum actuator is no ;longer available.
He is not 100% sure if it will work.. ARGH!!!
Anyone have any ideas???
He has offered to charge a flat fee $400 for fitting and that is for as long as it takes to get it working correctly.. For a non-mechanical guy I'm happy to pay it.. but financial controller might have issues LOL
-
Does that include the OzSTOC discount?
-
$400 for fitting sounds reasonable. Particularly being a flat fee irrespective of how long it takes.
-
West Aussie Glen.. no I didn't mention that.. I will though prior to booking :) Cheers..
I thought the labour was reasonable aswell.
And the more i think about it, its only several tickets and it would have paid for itself..

Nice job Shiney, looking at cruise for my 1100, not too many points left, :law,. As I am in Vic, your bloke can't do the install, so is there a recommended fitter local to me. Any help from anyone will be great. Just looking at options ATM. Thanks all Nigel
