Title: Corbin seat for 1100, Madstad brackets and a few other odds and sods
Post by: Bluey on August 07, 2019, 07:56:56 PM
As I no longer have a bike, my garage is littered with stuff that is essentially useless to me. It owes me a bit, but I have already spent that, so that doesn't really count. Taking it to the tip is by far the easiest thing, but that would be a terrible thing and I'm not sure I can do it. My hope is that somebody will see the potential in this stuff and get some enjoyment from it.

So, somebody help me, please. I don't want to just dump it.

This is what I have that is up for grabs:

Corbin solo seat - no pod, but I used it with a police pod that had an access hatch fashioned in it. The only mod needed is that two extra holes be drilled in between the existing holes in the top/rear of the police pod. The seat is leather, has never bean drenched either on or off the road. No heater.

Madstad adjustable brackets. These are an uncommon farkle, but I see great potential for a nice screen. They are the brackets and a few fixings and would need a base (there is an old chopped OEM screen that would make an ideal template) and also a main screen to be designed and manufactured. Madstad could probably help with some of that.

OEM exhaust pipes. In very good condition. There are a few small scratches. These came off Streaks 1100 when he put his something or others on. I had Staintunes, but being a bit of a fiddler, I wanted to see how the originals sound. Went back to the Staintunes.

There are a few other odds and sods that I have accumulated during my years of ownership.

Bluey I still have STranger my x police ST1100 that has the solo seat and pod. I'd be interested in purchasing the Corbin seat to replace the original Police seat. Let me know how much you'd like for it.

Thanks for the response. I am happy for it to go to a good home. I would only need to cover the postage and maybe a small handling fee. I have no idea how much it would cost to post, so I could only have a wild guess and say $50. The seat has its own mounting bracket and locking mechanism and that would weigh a kilo or two. I can do some groundwork here to start the process if you want.  That could at least give me a better idea of the postage costs. I'm a "retired gentleman" now and money suddenly has  to last longer than I am used to. As long as the transfer can be "cost neutral". I am willing to put in some time though.

That's good for me. PM me to work out times and I'll give you address and contact details. Will you be in a tin-top, or on two wheels. Just so I know if and how it should be packed up.
