2015 National Rally report
« on: March 24, 2015, 02:25:51 PM »
This years ride was a short one compared to the last 2 years so this report will be short on words but big on (mostly) pretty pictures.

I headed off mid morning friday via the cunningham as it would have felt odd not going this way after the previous 2 years national rally rides.

I stopped at the Palace hotel in Warwick for a steak and a pot only to see Dick & Ros go cruising past my window.

A quick ride to Toowoomba found me pulling up outside my cabin surprising some old faces with a new  :blu13
After unpacking it was time to settle in and watch the afternoon unfold while catching up with faces old and new.

Observing the many nuances of form and function

The Gav-a-tron 5000 on guard duty

The united colours of Tipsy

Marcus giving free prostate exams

With late night scotch bottle sampling taking place with the usual suspects and the arrival of Gavo, friday night quickly turned to saturday morning and eventually bed time  >:()

Saturday morning breakfast arrived way too soon with the conditions doing a fine impression of my then mental state

After a quick wander around the park it was ride briefing time followed by launching off to our first stop

We left Leyburn for the return ride to the caravan park and into the afternoon swap meet where a fair bit gear changed hands.

It was great to see Harie G and Goldie still in fine fettle  :beer

Well done, camera dude.  A fine collection of candid shots there!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Sunday morning was kicked off by another fine breakfast prepared by the local Apex people and the news that the sunday ride to club supporter Col from the Esk Bakery had been cancelled due to the road conditions caused by the previous nights rain & wind.

Pictures were taken, bikes packed and goodbye's given to those that were heading off.

Ian pretending like he'd never seen that before  :fp

Sunday night rolled around with 30 odd folks still enjoying the festivities.
Pizza laughs & reds were shared along with plans for the next national rally.

This was my 3rd national rally and i'm planning for the next one.
If you have not been to one i can only suggest you try.
You don't know what your missing.
You will never know if you don't go !!!

Many thanks to all the usual suspects in the background doing the leg work.
Streak,Diesel,Pockey,Chris,Pc,Abe,StinkyPete,Saaz,Marcus,Sicman,Leo and a cast of many more that make it all appear effortless.

See you at the next one  :Blow
