Hi All.
I thought it about time I introduced myself considering I've been lurking in the background for a while, so hello all.
A few months ago I acquired a 97 ST1100 with about 25k kms on the clock. It's a nice maroon one that will replace my ageing 1000GTR on red plates.

Hi Phil, welcome to OzSTOC from Greensborough VIC. What area are you?

Sounds like the ST1100 will be in top nick, there'll be some on here wanting to check it out, a good opportunity will be at one of our get-togethers, an RTE (Ride to Eat), a link with details to the next one at Kyneton.

What are red plates?
Here in VIC, plate for veteran vehicles – manufactured before 1 January 1919; vintage vehicles – manufactured after 31 December 1918 and before 1 January 1931; classic and historic vehicles – manufactured after 31 December 1930, but more than 25 years before the date of the application for a Club Permit.
Minimal rego and third party insurance fees.

Hi Phil, a big welcome from another Victoriastani :hatwave
-
Thanks for the welcome. I've checked out a couple of the RTE.
I'll see how I go getting it back together, registered and how the calendar looks.
It's a low kays bike but unfortunately it was neglected (I was aware of this when I bought it) so has needed a fair bit of maintenance.

You might find the December RTE at Buxton more convenient.

And there will be RTE's in January 2024 (probably Gippsland) and February (west of Melbourne), and of course the OzSTOC 2024 NatRally in Mansfield in March. The full RTE calendar for 2024 will be finalised and posted very soon.
In the meantime, some Mansfield details here: http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=15194.0 (http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=15194.0)

To be determined, but it's fair to say Snake Valley (your suggestion), Birregurra, Sebastopol and Warrnambool are on the shortlist for 2024.

Cheers. I did see that one. Distance isn't the issue, time and timing is :-[
