Johnny, I read your FB post, it's not clear to me if Can-Am indicate you can't
tow with the Daytona or you can't
fit a tow bar to the Daytona, IMHO there's a difference.
Option 1If it is the former, and if the Classic tow bar fits, it could be fitted as rear end protection or to fit a bicycle rack to carry a bicycle (doh!) or a wheel chair. I have heard, but not seen, of a wheel chair on the back of a Spyder, someone else may know more or even have a pic.
I can foresee the following scenario ...... a problem arises in the warranty, Daytona is presented to Can-Am dealer, "So sorry sir, you have towed with the Daytona, warranty is void". "I have not!" "You have a tow bar, what's that for then?" Then show them pics of a bicycle (or wheelchair - that might get more sympathy) on a rack on the tow bar.
If someone went down this path, it would very prudent of them not to post reports or pics on any Forum or social media of them not towing with their Daytona.
Option 2Spyder Forum - I am sure others have encountered this problem, see how they have solved it.
Option 2There's more than one way to skin a cat.
After test riding a Spyder at the Ulysses AGM at Penrith a few years back, I thought there may be a Spyder in my future (when the back, hips and / or knees pack up), but before then my preference would be a side car.
There are other benifits too.
