Starting the riding journey
(1/1)
blonde ambition:
So i have recently got my learners licence and went out for a ride in a local car park for the first time last weekend.
Myself and flash have just finished restoring a lovely Yamaha xs400. It feels very comfortable but i have had a few issues.
The back brake pedal has had to be lowered slightly due to a problem i have with my ankles. I am also having trouble with letting out the clutch as i run out of fingers before it is all the way out causing me to have trouble getting that smooth take off.
I just wondered if any other ladies had certain problems when starting out on bikes or even now, or whether this is just me still learning and it will improve over time?
I realise i have only been out on the bike for a few hours but feel i struggled with this clutch issue when i did the learners course.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I am eager to learn

Thanks Glen
Will look into it. Flash has made some adjustments to help me out. Hoping once i get out more often my take offs will get a bit smoother.

Bound to improve with time. We've all been there. For me it was an Ag bike on the farm and I was around 10 yrs old, so the levers were a stretch for me too.
