Question time. Am I better off using 10/30. Or 10/40 in my 98 st1100. In wonderful old Hobart weather

I don't think either would hurt until you get temps over 35C where you live

Temps get around 0C over night here in winter and I use 10W-40 which -s good for -10C and for over 40C which should be suitable for most Australian conditions. Any lower than -10C you will need a 5W-30 or 5W-40 oil which covers temps down to -30C
