Black Recangular Thingys !

I have a hole either side of my fairing that should have black plastic cover type thingys on them (technikkle aint I) ?
Can I buy replacement ones and what are the holes for anyway ?

Can you post a picture of the gizmo with the hole for the thingy, and I'm sure one our technogurus will be able to advise. :p

Aw.... ya know, just infront of you kneez when you are sitting on the bike seat,two rektangular oles that should have covers on them !

It's part number 77121-MT3-000ZA for both sides. They should be the same colour on all 1100 models

I bought those thingys once,  just check the metal clip is still on the fairing otherwise you will end up having to glue
 it down like I did (impatience got the better of me.)

SEE !!!!! I knew someone on here would know what the thingy's are.

P.S. they are inspection holes used when doing valve timing (I think)

You can use those holes to drain the carbs, using a long screw driver (page 5-18 of the Honda service manual)

There are actually Honda switches that go in all of them....
I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

I believe that the manual shows them to be used to access the rear spark plug on each side with the spark plug spanner.

You don't have to use them to remove the rear spark plugs (it might work though).  With the Honda spark plug tool it is easy enough to get to the rear plugs with just the maintenance section of the fairing removed.

When you order the black thingie Part No.  77121-MT3-000ZA you also need to order part No. 90666SD4003 (this is the clip that holds it in place.) or alternatively superglue it in place, however that does to become unglued over time.
