Throttle lock
« on: July 22, 2020, 01:47:39 PM »
Rubina came with a throttle friction device.  I have installed a cruise control, so it's no longer required.  I have removed the large knob that controls it but that leaves a 12mm gap where the threaded section is that the knob sits in.
If anyone would like it, we'll need to do a swap of bar-ends because it's integrated in the RH bar-end.  If they're identical it wouldn't be necessary to swap the LH ends.
This is probably most relevant to Brisbane or nearby riders because of the weight of them and the need to do a straight swap.
I think $20 is pretty generous.  It's unbranded but identical to the Kaoko one listed at $169.  I put a Throttlemeister on my first ST and found the smooth surface to be less effective than this type.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
