95 ST1100 parts or fix?
« on: August 10, 2020, 01:42:15 PM »
Hi all
Advice please. Am wanting to sell my old ST either as a parts bike or a fixer upper, but need some idea of what might be a fair price. The bike is currently dismantled in order to fix two oil leaks but ive simply run out of interest in the old girl.
The good...
New radiator, water pump, timing belt, forkseals, metal gear discs and pads with very low ks, new OEM seat cover, MC cruise control comes with it.

The bad
Non original paint, I repainted it a few years ago (I was a painter by trade so its a quality job)
Has a couple of broken tabs but the plastics all bolt up ok.
Has 2 oil leaks, one from the alternator, the other I think from the rear of the clutch housing.
about 240000ks,motor is smooth and rattle free.
Im willing to spend the time to put it back together and get it running if thats what it takes to sell it...
Advice please...

To be fair, its probably worth more if you part it out, a 240000 K bike wont fetch much

Agree with Brock on this one, I know someone that couldn't sell there ST1100 with 35000km for $4200, so parted it out and made more and still has motor and other parts left.
