st1100 fairing/body panels
« on: August 29, 2012, 11:23:16 AM »
Hi guy's, I am looking for a full nose faring, screen, mirrors, handlebars, instrument cowl (gauges are okay), etc. Big ask I know! Also need various other bits of bodywork such as tail section and tail light, panniers etc.
I am posting this on behalf of the guy that bought my very nice st and has proceeded to destroy it since, finally throwing it down the road putting his mate in hospital. :cuss :cuss :cuss :cuss
Give me a hoy if you have any leads, otherwise I might soon be listing a sad st for parts :'(
Cheers
Bryan

Nah but I should rip them out and use them as fishing lures....
Never seen anyone destroy a bike I loved.

Try putting a message on 'Findapart' , this goes out to wreckers all over Oz and they will contact you if they have what you want and the price. I've bought a few bits this way.

Sounds to more more like the remnants of the bike should be offered for parts- and not very many at that, maybe an engine and a seat still intact by the description!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I have a few panels but not all that you require, If he trashed the bike like that why would you want to help out?

Hi mate, thanks for that. I am currently waiting on a reply from an interstate wrecker for a complete fairing but will keep your offer in mind.
I am repairing the bike as a paying job ( I am a mechanic and repair bikes), but it is difficult to see any bike mistreated.
