Pay It Forward
« on: September 05, 2012, 08:32:57 PM »
On the FarRiders site they have a thing that Davo introduced called "Pay It Forward" I think it would work here too so have stolen his words:

If you have a item motorcycle related for either a rider or a bike that you no longer need then consider this.

The owner offers the item for FREE and the person accepting the item pays for any delivery/mail costs.

Post about it here and any current forum member with 5 posts or more can post here "yes I will have it thanks"

If at anytime you no longer need the item you agree to offer it back to the group on the same conditions.
You agree not to accept an item and later sell it for personal gain.

"Tried it" had a couple of pair of HID with Hi/Lo and their were no takers. Had a couple of pair of Dragon jeans as well and still with no takers.
Have a one piece rain suit that has Flouro Sleeves and legs that's of top quality and real close to the bin as well
Oh and a Bluetooth setup for rider and pillion and that went in the bin last week.
Tried to give it away and it just doesn't work so in the bin it goes. Bloody easier

Yeah suppose I should of taken pictures, maybe wrote an extremely informative write up on the stuff. Maybe included a few research articles putting forward the positive and negatives of the stuff I was giving away for free worth $100's new???
But silly me, just posted a sentence or two telling people what the items were and how free they were???
But what I learned is that it is easier to just put the stuff in the bin. Well that's where the Bluetooth headsets went last week, along with a couple of Starcom thingies (Remote and headset).

How about a "wanted" aspect.
Now you mention Starcom, I've lost one of my curly cords.  Anyone got one needing a new home?  The postage alone of $10 makes me hesitate ordering a new one.

Is that Oval sized?  I think a footy oval is about 600 metres around the fence.

OK, I'm in, I have a brand new pair of riding gloves (Aldi specials) which are so tight on me that I lose sensation in my fingers after a few minutes. They say XL on them, and I presume that's the size, but not sure in respect to what. I'd say they would suit some-one who isn't as big as me with smallish or mediumish hands. If you want them let me know.

Don't want to rob anyone of a free pair of gloves, but did you know that there is a 60 day warranty return, no questions asked policy on all ALDI merchandise?  Doesn't matter if it's been worn even.

Applying only 28 of those 9s (i.e. 99.9999999999999999999999999999) as a percentage of the world population reduces to a figure of ONE who is excluded from the whole population.
