ST Rider killed with pillion in hospital

Watching nine news and there is a news bulliten re st1300 rider (49) killed in Brisbane with pillion in hospital with non life threatening injuries........

Yes, I saw that in the online news, but didn't realise it was an ST1300!  The photo I saw was taken from a distance in the dark and I didn't look very closely to identify the bike.  It happened at the corner of Nathan and Saul Streets, and looks as if he failed to take a slight bend in the road and wrapped the bike around a power pole.  Very sad indeed.

Very sad news that the rider has died, my heart goes out to the pillion and the family and friends

It definitely looks like an ST1300...

I watched the news bulletin and there’s no doubt it was a candy red ST13 .....I’ve posted here to see if it was one of our members and to offer my condolences to those who may have known him.

  So sad to hear of an ST rider having such a bad accident    , condolences R.I.P. hope the pillion is ok.    Remember to ride safe and stand out in traffic.
