There are two accommodation and dining options at Rawnsley.

1.  If you stay at the Caravan Park, BYO everything, and cook up a BBQ and share some drinks and nibbles in their big indoor camp kitchen

A great venue, a great ride and terrific scenery - well worth the effort. I've visited Rawnsley Park twice in 3 years so I might give it a miss and head up to Leigh Creek to check it out now there is no mining and the place is struggling a bit to stay alive. I'm told the Aroona Dam is well worth a look see.

Chris and I won't make this one, as we are heading off a few days later.

Last time we went to Rawnsley Park we all stayed in the Caravan Park, took all our food and drink supplies, and spent the evening in the big, well equiped and fully enclosed camp kitchen.   Alcohol and some food can be purchased from the Rawnslwey Park store.

The cabins sleep up to 6; 4 in bunk beds and a double bed.  If you can put up with the snoring from your fellow campers it comes up pretty reasonable. No ensuite in cabins though so a bit of a walk in the dark to the facilities.  Bushes are nearby...The camp kitchen is great, so I'd recommend taking a nice steak and DIY. Did this one a few years ago and it was very enjoyable, so I think  i'm In for this one. Anyone organised a cabin yet?

I prefer a room to myself.  No disrepect, but it looks like there's a better chance that I'll be at Smythesdale if I am not working.

I would very much like to make this one but since I'm shifting dwelling abodes I'm not going to be able to make it .travelling through the flinders rangers on a bike cannot be underestimated ,its a wonderful experience,especially if you travel up through  Blinman .   Best wishes to those who can make it !

There doesn't appear to be much interest in this one nor do I think the numbers so far will need to have the venue notified for anyone that is still or intending to go.
