Broken Windscreen Bracket

Coming home from Adelaide on Friday evening, my windscreen started to 'sag' on the right hand side. It started to get closer to the top of the dash panel, and felt loose. I opened it up tonight, and found this.

My question is to the gentlemen who have wrecked a 1300- Does anyone have one lying around? I have welded it up and will re-fit it, but one that isn't compromised would be preferable.

I recently purchased parts from South West Motorcycle Wreckers for my St1300 as they were wrecking a 2003 St1300. It may be worth giving them a ring to see if they can assist you.
Ph. 02 96028999. They were easy to deal with.

But that weld looks perfect.  I'd get you to weld for me any day!!

Bill, mine doesn't have the electric screen, just the fixed one.

Can the electric one be retro-fitted, or is that too much of a PITA to be worth it?

It is amazing what a quick coat of paint will do! Hide a multitude of sins!

I could weld that bracket back as good as new, but you are a bit far away..
