WA Motorcycle Marshals

(1/3) > >>

bloodbikes:
Hi All,
At present I'm involved in motorcycle marshalling, primarily for bicycling Western Australia and was thinking that it would be a good idea to form a group of riders to do marshalling on a more structured basis for other events in and around the Perth and South west areas, there are lots of events on that would benefit from experienced riders helping out, let me know if anyone is interested in starting a group, I have enquired about marshalling events such as ironman comps, half marathons, toy runs, all with positive replies, as I work up north on rosters and I know you other guys work shifts but as a large group we could at least provide a basic cover.
If anyone is interested in maybe taking this idea further please contact me.

Brock:
I would give it a go, its a bit of fum, even tho the days can be long.

It was fairly obvious to me from the bike ride, that decent comms at least between the bikes would be beneficial. It would be good if the organisers had compatible comms as well.

bloodbikes:
The event control was using Motorola handhelds, I presume they were uhf but would only be for local use, uhf on the bikes would have been limited due to the hills etc but yes better than nothing, I have a gme 3500 now just got to fit it plus I need a sena sr10.
I think hoffy and pezz were also interested, the white st's certainly create a presence.

Brock:
SR10 will need an adapter lead to connect it to the radio. Turtle foud a place up my way that carries the lead, I can wire it up to suit you radio.

bloodbikes:
Can I use the PTT switch supplied and cut their switch off then join it to the headlight pass switch or do I need another cable, I see prestige communications do the SR10 for $219.
