Title: Sargent - Perth Region
Post by: LindsayGT on January 30, 2018, 09:37:42 PM
Hey,

Does anyone have a Sargent Front seat that I could take a look at, in the Perth Region?

Thanks,

I have one, so is Adelaide close enough?  If you want to chat about the seat,  PM me with a phone number and I'll give you a call.   See http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=6250.msg70399#msg70399 (http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=6250.msg70399#msg70399)

Since that post I've added a sheepskin cover to the rider's seat.

Are any close up photos of mine, any use to you?

I rode around Australia on my original ST1300 seat, fitted with an Air Hawk set pad.
This was quite good, comfort wise, but a bit fiddly to get just in the right place, and with the right pressure.

My "2nd hand replacement" (insurance job due to damage caused by third party) ST1300 came with a Sargent seat. It is definitely better than the bare original seat.
I have tried using the Air Hawk pad on the Sargent seat, but with me being 6'2"+ my knees/shins tend to touch the fairing, due to the redesigned seat profile making me lower and further forward, compared to the original.

For comfort and convenience, I use the Sargent seat (by itself) all the time now.
(My wife much prefers the Sargent pillion seat, to the original, too)

Regards
John
