Title: Black Wolf Gobi Tent
Post by: StinkyPete on September 20, 2012, 07:19:21 AM
I use a Black Wolf Gobi 2 man tent. Purchase price was $110.  It packs reasonable small and takes up about half the room in one pannier, is easy to erect, and has plenty of room inside.   I originally used a small one man tent, but ti was just too squeezy once some gear went inside as well.  The Gobi has lots of room for a full size air mattress, and room to spare for my stuff, as well as having enough headroom to be able to kneel up.  The photo of the tent beside my bike at Blackheath has a fuzzy patch, as there was some crap on the lens that I didn't find until after the rally.

This is my humble shelter when I'm on the road. It's a Coleman Phad X3. Three man tent plenty of room fits in the top box with plenty of room to spare. Easy to put up and really stable in strong winds. Tested to it's max on the Isle Of Mull where other tents were wiped out I didn't even use all the guy ropes.
Unfortunately it's now no longer in production, but I have kept my eye on it's replacements and would be happy to replace it with another Coleman.

It fits in 1 pannier and when erected is big enough to have a party :beer :eat or park an ST inside 1 half :eek and room for a queen size airbed in the other half :thumb
