I hate to say it but I am considering it given light of what is happening in NSW at present.

We have booked the last unit available at the Caravan Park for Saturday night.    There must be something else on in Tumby Bay that weekend, and you may need to search BnB's for somewhere to stay.   :fp

I'm now planning a route for this.  I'd requested time off to go to Mudgee so there's a good chance I'll take a scenic route to Tumby Bay.

I'm  back working on fruit fly in the Riverland for the next couple of weeks, however I've been given permission to attend the Tumby RTE from the boss (SWMBO). If I  can swing it I'll ride to Wallaroo on the Friday arvo from Loxton then catch the ferry at 9am Saturday and make lunch by 12:30pm in Tumby. I'll confirm tomorrow. I did suggest to the boss that she could join me in Wallaroo Friday night but she declined because we're riding over the next week for a Roseworthy reunion in Coffin Bay. Julie is obviously not as silly as me.

We are stopping in Whyalla on Friday night, which will be a trip down memory lane as I lived there for a couple of years in the 1960's.   We're also keen to have a look at the new jetty.

Langers retires and we get a pandemic of fruit fly!

We're out of this RTE, have other plans. I booked and paid for another event without realising the date.

I'll probably overnight in Cowell on friday night and take a scenic route to Tumby Bay.

I've signed a casual contract with PIRSA until end of June - if they want me and I'm not riding somewhere I'm happy to go back and help.

So, all booked (ferry and Tumby C/P) and looking forward to lunch  :beer

Bodo, on your return trip you might want to consider the route Arno Bay to Cleve to Mangalo then northeastish to the Cowell-Mangalo road, Cowell-Kielpa road intersection and then south east along the Cowell Mangalo road to Miltalie and then Cowell. There is some interesting country and riding through there.

Pete, yes put me down for dinner as well - Thanks!

Cheers ... Mark

:eek DINNER  :eek  Well, pays not to skim read eh??  :fp :fp

Hmm, perhaps I'll take my own advice to Bodo and ride the Mangalo route from Cowell. And I might as well throw in my fishing gear and see if I can catch a whiting breakfast  - hey, this is getting better and better.

If I  can swing it I'll ride to Wallaroo on the Friday arvo from Loxton then catch the ferry at 9am Saturday...

I looked at the ferry for the ride home but the only one on sunday is 1430 so I opted not to use it.    I'd be bored waiting for the afternoon sailing on sunday.  I have booked the 0800 ferry across on friday morning and accommodation for Cowell on friday night.

Just seen this.  Mangalo-Cleve-Arno Bay I did way back in2015 when the kwaka was new.  I didn't take it on the dirt in those days but I'll pencil in the others for friday.  Taking the ferry may see me arrive in Cowell earlier than expected.  Cowell-Kimba-Cleve was already in my itinerary for saturday morning.  I've rode the Rudall-Kielpa-Darke Peake-Solomon road in 2015 as well.
