Hello from the UK
« on: July 20, 2012, 05:54:13 AM »
 :thumbsup

Thought it was about time I came and joined you folks.
Some of you know me from my-mc and some from STowners.
I have been riding my 50th Anniversary ST1100 for the past 6 years. I have been riding on the road since I was 16, it was all in black and white back then I recall. I have had many makes and sizes of bike some good some bad real bad in fact. The ST1100 fit's I have no intentions of changing it anytime soon. I do most of my own maintenance and the bike is no garage queen it's my daily transport.
I'm looking forward to being here and hope to be able to help if I can.
Right off for a look round some more. Why has it taken me this long...... :-[

Welcome to the zoo Paul.

I'm originally from Birkenhead (Cheshire). Came out to Oz in 1977 and have never been back.

Great crew here on OzSTOC. Some are brilliant, some are great, some are good and some are a pain in the  :butt

Enjoy your time here and take care,

I have you flagged on my radar Brock as the one to watch, I read three of your posts and took the precaution  :wink1 :grin
I think I have seen a picture of the gold "un" Bikerbear, tell me do the guys over there insist on telling you it's a ginger bike like the lads over here do with mine? They call themselves mates as well  >:(

The 50th anniversary models are all known as gold here, never heard them described as ginger!?

I think it's a Pommie insult.  Suggests that something is as useless as young Harry...    :popcorn
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Yep it's a light hearted insult, I have broad shoulders so I can take it. Don't understand the origins though.
