Dugandan Hotel RTE Sunday the 12th of August

Ohhh, shucks.....

I was in the area just having a bit of a stooge around and decided to go take a look as I haven't been to that pub before. I mentioned to the barmaid that there were "...a bunch of us turning up on bikes" there on Sunday, and she suggested that it would be a good idea to book a table as it gets very busy on Sundays. So I did, in the beer garden which is very pleasant and has lots of room. Hope everyone is OK with that.

I'd suggest people bring a hat as there is little shade and whilst it's not too hot, it is very sunny

The beer is good, the pub is pleasant, and the ride there and back is fantastic!!!

**edit  Meeting place changed to Shell at Corner of Granard Road and Beatty Road, Rocklea at 11:00 am. (easier access to the Motorway. **

I've arranged with my mate Stumpy (another ST aficionado) to meet up at the Caltex at Goodna a bit before 12 for the ride to the Dugandan.  If any one else wants to meet up there you'd be most welcome.     

I had figured a noon departure, but a check of Google Maps recommends an 11:30 am departure.  Waiting on a reply from Stumpy.    He's cool with 11:30 am.  :)

I am planning to be there at 11:15am for an 11:30 am departure. 

I'll let you know if anything changes.

Hi All,

Looking at Google Maps (see link below) the route Marissa, myself, Tipsy HarieG (and any other "surprise" guests) plan to take will take about four hours to complete and reach the pub.

So allowing time for a few rest stops along the way we will be leaving home (28 Picton Drive Alexandra Hills) at 8am sharp on Sunday morning. For all those that intend joining us for the ride please plan to be at my place around 7:45am with a full tank of fuel.

The Caltex at Goodna is a common meeting point for The Social Club when we head off to points west, so I know where it is and it's not far from my mates place.  So it suited us both. 
The road back on last time was only a few hundred metres, but the Motorway may have changed things.

I'm sure Stumpy wouldn't mind changing the meeting point to the the Shell at Corner of Granard Road and Beatty Rd, Rocklea. 

Stumpy has confirmed for meet up at 11:00am.

We have a few extra people joining us for tomorrow's ride. Two couples, my son Brendan who will be on Marissa's old CB400, and my Dad (who's 80) is going to come as pillion with me.
