Heli Gen3 Plate
« on: October 19, 2012, 07:10:07 PM »
So just installed a Heli Generation 3.2 plate......what is considered normal "flex" in the bars......all tightened with a torque wrench to heli specs.

I have about 20 mm flex at the bar ends.

Cheers

Chris

That’s fairly normal :thumb
I just did the install of the Heli bars riser and had the same concern :eek but after a lot of looking around the net :CB-- found that it is normal and nothing to worry about :thumbsup

MCL also comment about the need for flex.
I guess it's like the Honda top box which has slotted rubber bushes allowing about 10 mm sideways movement.  If these things were rigid bolt-on there would be cracks appearing.  In the case of the bars, the rider would get a lot of vibration in the hands and arms.
