There may be a new member I talked to at the Snowy Ride asking about the Delkevics.  I even guessed the price properly (around $400)

Have the 13" tri-oval Delkevics on our 1300..... Previous owner paid $599 in QLD, love the look of the factory pipes.....but with the Tri-oval you get similar to factory shape with that lovely Delkevic note. Best of all I didn't pay for them.....well chosen by the previous owner I say !!!

Cheers

I test rode an VFR1200.  It is more a sports bike that can tour. The seating position is too forward for me.  The engine goes even better than it sounds - it has a rush of power that the ST definitely does not have up top - 150bhp does that. Brakes are absolutely awesome - eyeballs through the visor like.

I also test rode the VFR cross tourer which uses a retuned 1200 engine, and is meant to compete with the Vstroms and the like.  Not my sort of bike at all, as it felt like riding a big trail bike out in the wind.  It could be a second bike, but not the main one.

Your probably right Saaz,! it felt pretty sporty & wouldnt have the comfort of an st 13 on a long haul & i`m forgetting i`m 58 not 28! .& with 150 odd bhp on tap i might think i`m 28 again & do another stint in hospital! like i did in 1977, broken back, broken pelvis ( in 2 places ) & dislocated left hip + gravel rash!!  OUCH! i`m not going through that again!. I think i will stay an st man!!..........pete    :slvr13

Hey Shiney !, delkevics arived today 8 working days since ordered! :grin. All looks good except no bottom clamps, but the original ones still look ok!. It`s a bit strange theres no fitting instructions, but theres not a lot to do i suppose, i bought my bike lift up from home last weekend that will make things a lot easier.  So much better working standing up! the best investment i`ve made involving motorcycling!, might give her a full service as well while i`m at it!. I might do the job friday arve night!, carn`t wait!   :thumbsup........pete    :slvr13

Sorry Pete I only just noticed your post :fp (I haven’t been on the forum much lately as I’ve been busy writing new procedures for work :CB--)

Ok now to hopefully answer your questions :wink1

The exhaust should have come with 2 small silver clamps and 2 oval shaped straps as seen in the blow pic

The original exhaust is held on with two bolts above the exhaust can and two bolts where the pipe from the can connects to the exhaust pipe.

Remove the bolts and slide the original cans off.

Connect the small pipe to the can with the small clamp and tighten only a little.

Place the large strap around the exhaust can.

Slide the pipe from the can into the exhaust pipe

Join the two ends of the strap together lining them up with the inside of the rear mounting point that the originals exhaust used.

Bolt the clamp in place then tighten the silver clamp and the exhaust bolts that hold the two pipes together.

In this last picture we can see where the pipe from the exhaust can slides into the exhaust pipe

I hope this has been of some help :thumb

If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask, I’m always happy to help :grin

Cheers
Shiney

Company called RADUM sell a 560kg hydrulic full table lift for $500. Perth address is 50 Catalano Circut, Canning Vale, Ph 0894562133. Email wa@radum.com.au.
I have the same one and would not be able to do a lot of the things I do without one.
