I'm going to be daring and propose a start point for those on the southside of brissie.
7am (leaving by 7.15) at the Coles Express servo on Beaudesert Rd, just south of Honeysuckle Way.
I intend to go via Logan M/way, Centenary M/way, Western F/way, Route 5 from Toowong to Bardon, then Waterworks Rd thru The Gap, over Mt Nebo, Mt Glorious, probably stop for a quick drink, then down the other side, out to Somerset and turn left to Esk.  My number is 0419 669 619 if you want to contact me quicker then this.

Hi Whizz,Tipsy,RobJob, Are you interested in joining 2uprider on this one?

Put me down as well - part of my New Year resolution to more rides and less work. Leaving from Springwood any other attendees from this neck of the woods?
I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

It's with regret that I advise that with forecast temps for eastern SA and mid-western NSW late next week being the high 30s and up to 40, I'm going to pass on the ride to Esk for a coffee.  :'(    She's sitting in the shed, wimpering, whining, and longing for a decent cross country run, but I won't take her for a 4,000km trip in those temps.  (Call me weak......)      See you all in Middleton instead!

A PRESSIE!!  Oh goodie.  Then you'd better include me in!

Now that there's a Samford departure point it's becoming irresistible!
You'd better add that fourth meeting point in, Streak.  Might drag in some more reprobates.   :runyay
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
