As there is a 2006 1300 (with 11500Ks) going for 11600$, a 2002 1100 with unknown Ks for $10000 is asking just a little too much. A good 1100 might fetch $6000 at  best I would say.

Put it another way.....

Tell im es dreamin......

My guess is he loves the bike and, living in Finlay, is completely out of touch with the market.
Possibly also a tad naive about things like putting the mileage (or hoping no one will notice) and rego.
It looks to be in top nick.  He may be adding the cost of the farkles to what he paid and adding a little profit.
In my experience, you don't add profit.  You subtract the fun you've had, which usually runs into thousands.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I'm with Brock on this one, I think he's dreaming, but good luck to him,on the plus side it has some added extras which may sweeten the deal, but not for me.  Its not white........

i'm also with Brock on this, however my 2000, 1100 is insured for $12,500, at there suggestion, I would have been happy with around $6000.
This begs the question, where do these people come up with these prices or are we owners the only realistic ones?

So at what age does this "old enough to know better" kick in?

There is that ST13 with not many kms for $12k so $10 is way too much, even if it is a great bike.  I think mine must be worth as much as the oil and spark plugs I put in it

A recent online quote for my 99 ABS model suggested the bike was valued at $10500 which seemed a bit high to me as well.
