Here is a spotlink of a ride being undertaken on 2x CFMoto 650TK (mini look a like ST1300).......spoke to Karl earlier and after only 500k's he is quiet impressed at the capabilities of the $8,000 bike.

Looking forward to watching Karl (skidoo) & Craig (Wombattle) and the ensuing ride reports on this bike.  :thumbsup

Rough itinerary 3.45am at the lighthouse carpark Byron Bay (08/02/14) then off for a depart docket

Our own Lionel is going on the trip too riding his ST1300.  He's OIC photographs and no doubt his lighting will be a big help in the dark time.

My SPOT Link is https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=8b4c52f2036b89830

Here's a pic of the 65-TK they've lent me.

And some quick and dirty farkles,

I bought a CFMoto quad bike last June and have nothing but praise for it. Would be very interested in the TK when the 1100 expires.

They will have stopped building them and most of their bikes will have expired, so you'll have to find something else when the ST11 gives up the ghost.     :grin

At my age I am comfortable with the not so hot friend, particulary if she is a lot newer and lighter, doesn't require lots of time and money spent on her, is still comfortable to ride and I am able to pick her up.    :nahnah

Sadly Lionel is stuck at Wilcannia with an ST1300 that cranks but won't start.  Saaz has been advising.  Now waiting for NRMA.

edit to specify which ST he's on today.
Stuck at the Shell since 7:06 this morning Qld time.

It's ironic that the ST has stopped, but the CFMoto's are going well.   Who'd have guessed.  Best wishes to all.

I guess we'll have to say the CFs are brand new and something wore out on the ST.  It's been going virtually continuously for 5 days!

Spoke with Saaz awhile ago......looks bad fuel related, another car came into the servo and fuelled at same bowser and conked out just as it pulled out onto the road......Lionel is doing a tank drain etc as others press on.....Saaz working spread sheet to put Lionel back on track.

Go luck team  :thumbsup

A very sweet-looking ST1300 look-alike...the only thing I can see, that I immediately don't like, is the dammed drive chain, why couldn't they have put in a drive shaft not a dammed chain??? Otherwise it is a very nice ST1300 copy

If you can, throw some metho in the tanks as well, that will help absorb any water that may be in there, and allow it to burn.

Sadly it's been trucked to Cobar.
Maybe once the fuel gets into injector lines it's more than just a tank drain that's needed.
