Ros and I arrived home this afternoon about 4.30pm after a diversion to Lismore via the Bruxner then Summerland Way, Grafton Road and Waterfall Way to Armidale last night before scooting down the New England to Muswellbrook to take a dampish run down the Putty Road home. 2250Kms all up.
Thanks to the organisers for all their work which was greatly appreciated. We caught up with heaps of old friends and came away with a bunch of new ones.
We already have Perth booked in diary for next year.

After leaving Toowoomba Theresa and I called in at the Esk Bakery (along with a few other rally attendees) before heading for afternoon tea at my brothers in Brisbane. We were about to head for the airport when the heavens opened and I got to take Theresa to the airport in my brothers IS350 Lexus in the heaviest rain I have driven in for a long time. So Theresa arrived home late Sunday night and after a cup of coffee with atoyot in Orange I am now in Wodonga. Jut over 7,900 kms since leaving Perth.

We got stuck behind a caravan in the hills north of Glen Innes and it must have been immediately after a heavy rain because we got quite wet from the spray. Other than that we had a dry slightly cool ride until the coastal plains where it was quite warm.
Nice stopover at the showgrounds in Armidale though.

I hope this was none of us.

Right area, but none of the OzSTOCers went that way, especially in a group, that I'm aware of.
We would certainly have heard through our network by now, if it was an ST rider.

I got to Stimpy's place just before 6pm, so it was the same storm. As I said, respectable, but definitely not the worst I've been through  :eek

Danny and I made it home today, got rained on pretty bad around Sydney for about a hour, but other then that weather was perfect.

Glad QLD could put on some cooler conditions for us, that was very thoughtful.

4,600km round trip. shortest day aside from the rally run was Toowoomba to Coffs harbour the rest was 600+ days

Russell Day Long seat is amazing once again lives up to the hype.

My little trailer and I home 6pm today. Just under 2,000km all up including the trip to my Daughters.

BIG thank you to all involved in the organising and running of the best rally yet, and to all members who attended and made it so. Well done all.

A close call for me on the way home. At the Commissiones flat turn off I was following IanB pouring rain and could just see Ian's bike. I noticed Ian move to the left of the road and thinking it was water on the road I followed his track. Out of the gloom a black SUV appeared just a metre or 2 in front of me turning right. I missed him by inches. If I hadn't moved to the left and followed Ian's track I'd have hit the back of the black SUV.

I'm glad Ian could see where he was going....

Hope all made it home safely :like

Passed you on the way into work on Monday.... you were heading south on the M1
I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

Sabie .... very glad to hear the casualty was jocks only!

I must have been an hour in front of you as I just missed the rain on commissioners flat road and decided to go the 'long way' over the top and just over the hill got SMASHED by the rain..... absolutely SMASHAROOD!!!!!!!!

Thankfully I had someone in front of me with bright tail lights so I just followed that with plenty of breaking room.

I did get a bit of Jock wear just out side of Gin Gin when my front wheel started aquaplaning! ..... that is one scary feeling!  I think the trailer dragging me may have helped keep me upright ...... or it was just superior riding skills and not panicking like a little 5 year old and grabbing the breaks.

Just completed a 560km stretch into Ensay on the Great Alphine road , on the boat tomorrow night but the weather for Melbourne tomorrow is for rain just what I want a full wet day in Melbourne. But the weather today from Ulladulla was great.
