It's on for us. Booked overnight at Kimba Motel for the Friday night. Rough plan is to get fuel docket at 3:30pm from local servo. Top Up at Port Augusta and aim for Kimba for 7-7:30 pm (about 286km). Leave Kimba 6-6:30 am Sat morning and fuel top ups at Wudinna, Nundroo and ETA 3:00 pm arrival at Border Villiage. http://goo.gl/maps/8VG9r

Will see you there. All you need for this one i think is a start docket. May not even need that but don't quote me.

A start docket is not required for Border Run, you only have to check in during the 4 hour window.

Just keep a track of distance achieved in a  24 hour period either going to or from the border run. The distance does not have to be within the 24 hours of the check in time. makes it more like an IBA 1000 or 1200 km run.

See you and Heather there then Alan. A few of us will be there Friday and Saturday nights

When does that 4 hour window start/end as it only says 4 pm on the ride page? No fuel docket makes it a little easier though I get them anyway.

For all of the easterners going to the border can you record fuel prices etc which will help others for the NR2016
Will see you there.
By the way Hoffy and I (and maybe Pezzz) will be going to Esperance on the return journey if anyone is interested. Accomodation will be sorted on the fly.

With the time window supplied by Pezzz we've modified our ride plan a little. We can now leave home around midday and make Ceduna (600 km) for the night (have until midnight to check in). We need to be back home Sunday evening so I booked two nights at Ceduna (cancelled Kimba) so we can get back there anytime Saturday evening/night. Gives us a more leisurely trip back on the Sunday. It's only about 5 hours from Ceduna to the Border so we should make it by midday. Now to register.

We have never needed a start docket, only need to do 24hr Km for completion. Check in time is Central standard time.

As they say, its better to have something and not needed than to not have it and need it.

Bit hard to dash back to the start yesterday..  (Unless you use the Tardis)

PEZZZ, you didn't need a start docket as you never planned to finish your run last year.

Lets see, ticket to the police ball, super headed motor, large skippies in the middle of the road and finally, low blood temp (-0 degree).

Why would you need a start docket mmmmm?

I always get receipts for bike/car expenses for the respective digital log book anyway so not a big drama.

What 3 weeks???? i had better do the oil change, clean some of the bugs off from the last BR, remove all the debris off the seat and sweep out the cobwebs on the dash.

So much to do and so little time.

Correct Allan.

As is always the case with any FR the intention is to aim for the time window. This occasion is just a wider time window.
Tis a very loose FR from the norm. If your eligable to register for a 1200k ride its a good one to do that on, particularly for east coasters.
