I wish the 1300 came standard with a power outlet but I'm afraid they don't  :(
You are just very lucky  :thumb

It's not rocket surgery to install one.  You buy them at Autobarn etc for a few bucks and run a 16g or 18g wire via a 10A fuse from your choice of hot battery or switched source.  Get one with a plastic cap to keep out unwanted intrusions.  IIRC it's a 7/8" hole drilled in the back of the pocket of your choice (I went with lockable left).  It takes up no space in the pocket.  Brock will check my numbers for us.
Sounds good to me Biggles. Just make sure that you dont fit the socket in a place that will hit the frame or wiring..

Thanks for the advise guys :thumb

Now we know it's a 1300 again here's the list of planned farkles...

1  foot rain guards - they worked a treat on NH?
2  oem satnav
3  shark tooth in two evoline 3s
4  severely illegal hi-power but small/discrete modulating front and rear led like on a recovery vehicle - I'll
gladly pay the fines if it prevents another t-boning!
5  recoloured Corbin Smuggler off NH - new bike will be red!
6  cleaned up Top Sellerie seats
7  V-Stream screen but willing to try a big size Cee Bailey flip screen too.
8  colour coded mirror and fairing oem wind deflectors.
9  full set of oem body protection pads/scuff pads on tank and panniers.
10 oem top box c/w carpet, hi-level stop lamp, straps and back and arm rests.
11 reusing US made soft luggage.
12 light grey tank cover c/w Minea tank bag off NH.
13 home made frame scuff pads for rider and pillion.
14 over mirror light brackets (like Dave Roper's) for some small driving lights - anyone's recommendations
     welcome!!!
15 full depth stuff stopper on front fender.
16 home made rear shock protector flap.
17 hard wired power for iPhone/iPod etc charging.
18 replacement HD bullet cam spread (probably the new Sony system).
19 replacement Vista throttle lock.
20 reusing soft grips and silicon lever socks off NH?
21 spare ram mounts on reservoir lids or bolts both sides.
22 replacement TPMS if the spread off NH no longer functions properly.
23 courtesy lights in all luggage like NH had.
24 small/discrete but hi-power side marker leds and again I'll pay the fines if they don't like em.
25 Wolo bad boy horn as the stebel is no longer made.
26 font fork leg stone guards.
27 a full set of my badges on the panniers and to replace the eom Pan badges on the side cowls.
28 fit the MCL highway blades I never fitted to NH?

...and if Nursey doesn't like it, tough! :o) but fortunately she's fully on board. We haven't talked about anything else but I bet I've missed something.

Paul,

I highly recommend the MCL Tip Over Bars. They saved my leg big time when I clipped that car that stopped in front of me on a green light back in January this year.

Take care,

Hi Guys, I have read with interest about the mirror deflector kit.  Would like a set to compliment my existing wind deflector kit (which came on the bike from the dealer).  I have only found UK suppliers, does anybody know of any suppliers in OZ?
Also, interested in Arm Rests for my Pan European top box.  Again, I have only found UK suppliers.  Any available in OZ?

By the way, The Zumo 660 is a very handy GPS, thoroughly recommended.  I had one of those throttle locks on my Suzi GS1100G, and it was ok to relieve the tingles, but useless on hills, and changing wind directions (not my wind issues).  I fitted a MC Cruise (made in Melbourne) to my ST immediately after I bought it, in preparation for a trip across to the East.  I have since done two trips to Melb and back to Perth, and cannot speak highly enough of it.  Yep, expensive, but nothing is too good for the ST1300.  The kit is super good, perfectly designed for the ST, and the installation instructions are very comprehensive.  Brain numbing really.

Looking forward to info on suppliers for the above two items.
cheers, Mick
Cheers,
Mick.

The newer machine is all finished now. Last thing to go on was one of the tank bra things from bagster. Thought one of these would work better so the tank colour still shows through the straps. Impressed so far and cheaper than a full tank cover.

The crash snapped bits off the old cover which was a shame because it was the nice light grey one. The repair worked ok but still didn't look right.

Really pleased some bits salvaged before NH478M went to the breaker's yard still work and are having a second chance like intercom and throttle lock.
