How to remove the lower head bearing st1100

Hai,

there are many ways to remove the lower head beering.
But when you get it done within 3 seconds, then I guess that this is quick.....

Just take a round piece of really hard steel. about half a centimer wide. (0.28 inch)
It has to be really hard steel, if not, it will not work.
Its about 15cm-20cm long.(6-8inch)

Is so easy. Make sure you put the the tool on the edge of the bear shell

And just pick a hammer and hit the steel tool.

The shell will come out in 2 or 3 hits with the hammer without damaging the steering collumn.
There are more ways, like welding a weldseam on the shell so you can pull it out or hit the weldseam from above.

But this piece, its just simple to make and you can even use it for the swingarm shells, when you have removed the blind plates.

Here is the picture. All credits to my friend Elmo, which made this easy tool.
