Today I purchased a motorcycle lift table from Hood Auto Performance Products (http://happ.com.au/ (http://happ.com.au/))
I was able to pick it up from one of their warehouses (in Ormeau QLD) so I didn't have to pay for shipping.
The total cost was $680 ($660 for the lift table + $20 warehouse fee)
The one I got is the MC30, the table has a weight capacity of 450 kg and a size of 220 cm x 68 cm.
The crate it comes in is so large it stuck out past the tailgate of the trailer and needed to be strapped in place (227cm x 71cm).

I got it home and opened the crate

It is boxed upside down so the first thing to do was install the wheels, flip it over and install the foot peddle for the pump.

The large peddle is used to manually raise the table and the small one to lower the table (an air compressor can also be used to raise the table :thumbsup).

Next was installing the wheel clamp and tie down points.

Finally I attached the ramp and it was ready for the ST.

The ST goes on easy however the wheel clamp wasn't able to hold the bike up by itself.
Luckily the table is wide enough for the side stand and if using the tie down points the bike can be held upright in a very stable position.

The bike can be raised very high (I took it up to just shy of 79 cm)

At its lowest point it comes to 20 cm (The ST can also be placed on it's center stand).

Thanks for the post Shiney. I have often thought of getting a lift, as it's got harder to work on the bike at ground level as the birthdays mount up. Unfortunately floor space in my shed is a precious comodity, and a lift will take up too much space.

Wow. That’s a serious piece of kit Sir Shiney. Something like that could make working on the bike a whole lot more enjoyable.
What a hypocrite I am. I take strudel to a workshop for anything more complicated than fuel and air :grin
At the next RTE: “How did you get that ding on the top of the windshield?” “Oh that’s where I accidentally smacked it into the ceiling”

You have to remember Shiney is still a 'youngen'. I couldn't be bothered to service my cars and bike any longer. :OldMan

Congrats Shiney, this is a serious investment.
I have one almost identical that I now plug to the air compressor to raise and it is such a time and stress saver. I permanently have one bike on top, so I can slowly do needful things on them. I have also saved the cost many times over by doing all the work myself, and even helped a few others by bringing their bikes over to help them, do stuff and needful things. :fp

Excellent acquisition!
I was wondering how you lifted 167 kgs out of the trailer, but then I remembered Carrol is there to help!
Once out, there's no more heavy lifting to do- it's one bit at a time out of the box. I had the same problem with a bit of IKEA "stuff", and unpacked it out of the trailer.
You'll be king of us kids when the next Workshop day comes up!! :thumbs

Snap. I have my st1100 on the bench for a rebuild ATM.
Well, about half of it. the rest is on the workbench, lol!!
It's great to drop it down to work on the dash & wiring, but to also be able to pump it up to work on the timing belt and exhaust without sitting on the floor!
