That sounds like 90% of Alice Springs drivers not having a licence and that includes the police.

"Be careful!"  I don't think there's a lot more you could have done.

Not much Bodo, I was at 50 Ks due to the road, the folk here tend to launch around corners with out looking. New year roadtoll was around 400 in 7 days

Wouldn't have affected the other driver's pulse at all.  The attitude is "that's just the way it is", apparently.  Today you weren't meant to have an accident.  Maybe at the same intersection tomorrow it will be different.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Biceps are good, I have actually been going to a local gym pretty much every day.

Right leg is good also, might have a bent brake pedal but, almost pushed it through the floor.

Only ever had ABS kick in twice, first time in 2002 in a hired Mercedes A160 when driving through some great riding country in Wales in the wet and braking into a tight corner, front right wheel locked up ever so briefly before ABS let it go . . It was an interesting experience.

The Second time, a few years later,  was in my ‘99 Ford Explorer in heavy traffic on one of the multi-lane intersections in Canberra and a guy in a white Holden ute decided he really needed to be in my lane, in front of me, and right now. Slammed the brakes on and was thinking I was going to shorten his ute be a foot or two, but ABS kicked in, stopped the wheels from locking up and pulled my 1.8 tonne vehicle up, quick smart. I was greatly impressed.

Not trying for a third test of ABS though.
