Breakfast with Diesel..... Sat 29th Sep
« on: September 25, 2012, 09:18:52 AM »
If you'd like to join me, Beatup and KiwiRider for a great, picturesque brekky, with a fantastic little ride to get there.......

http://goo.gl/maps/yZY76

Be at Meeting Point "A" on this map.  BP Service Centre Caboolture Northbound by 0745 and ready to ride out at 0800hrs.

I guarantee the food is great, the company second to none, the views spectacular, and the journey to the destination - fandoogooly!      :thumbs

Just a bite to eat with OzSTOC friends.      :eat

See you there (or not).      :wink1

Cheers, Diesel

PS - I think Bevan is bringing some of the leather pants - so if you've ordered off him - a good chance to pick them up perhaps.       :)

You know that back road from Cooroy up through Mapelton , Monteville through to Maleny and wherever was most likely the "Davo" from Fariders fame most favorite road.
I only know that because he told me. Have to agree that the road that goes along the side of the hill out of Nambour to Maleny does take some beating and that back road to Kenilworth, Imbil, has a fair amount of good points as well

Would be nice Diesel.

Unfortunately Terri and I are heading in the opposite direction on the 29th and on 4 wheels rather than 2.

Have a good one.

This week it's me out of Brownie points   >:(

I thought I'd earned some on an overnight (hence no postings in here yesterday), but apparently that just covered for some I was owing.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Loose Dirt - that's the words which comes to mind on the mention of Mapleton to Kenilworth.
Obi Obi rd is great coming east but going west to Kenilworth it's a down hill slide for a few kms.
Travelling east the climb up the hill is one way so apex to apex holds no threats.
Mrs Beatup and I silly enough to go the other way at the end of the wet season when we shifted here and oh whoa. PR2's don't like that loose wet downhill crap.
See ya at Maudies. What time Maleny arrival Diesel Text me on Sat.

So there I was. 06:15. All kitted up. Checked the tryes.

Wheeled the bike out of the garage and onto the driveway.

Said goodbye to the wife while she patiently stood there waiting.

Turned the key and..........nothing........not even a hint of starting.

Long story short........now have a new battery. :runyay

(Glad that didn't happen last weekend at Warwick.)

Sorry I missed it gents...next time!

Great little write up and pictures, jealous but one day.  In the first photo it  looks like the bikes are staying up by themselves (side stands in shade or covered). Thanks Bevan for supporting the 1100 crowd.
