Run to Grantham and Back
« on: January 07, 2012, 06:41:55 PM »
just took the  :blk11 out of the shed for a little run today, only 130km went down to plainlands and took a look at the Lights on the Hill Trucking Memorial & Office,

and Came home via Grantham, i must say grantham is looking alot better, there is a lot of positivity down there now!

met a BMW rider at BP in Gatton, who wondered if my bike was for sale, as he was looking into buying an ST1100 so i gave him the blurb about us as well, so hopefully another recruit!

Dave Roper has these on his STead. Even in the day light they shine really well.

He has all the decals on his. Even the wing.  Just breaks up the plain "white". :rofl

Hi Streak,
Maccas on the Toowoomba road would make a good RTE meeting point, a decent ride from Brisbane and well placed to a tour of the local area. Maybe we could arrange a meet one weekend soon? Anyone else interested?

Yeah, thanks Mal........................plain white as opposed to plain blue?

As Mal said, I got quite a bit of stuff from Bike Quip in the UK. The guy who runs it, Keith Munro, is very helpful and only too willing to assist. Prices and shipping are also good......................... Fully recommended.

Hi Whizz sorry I missed your post here, that sounds like a good idea, diesel has a ride in the works for SE Queensland at the moment.

Once we get the worst of summer out of the way, prob in may, I am actually planning a BBQ Lunch here at home for everyone to ride to (I live in Toowoomba).

But if you wanted to organize something in January, put up a date and a post in the QLD Events section and see if anyone wants to come, I will be in for sure, here is the link http://ozstoc.com/index.php?board=25.0

Cheers

Hey Streak, got the bike booked in for a service on Wednesday, following the general feeling from others about getting it done earlier rather than later, so I won't be doing any riding this weekend, but maybe in a week or so I'll suggest a short run and see what sort of response I get.

Cheers
