OK - those of you wanting to join Diesel and the Bundy crew for the ride up.....

Meet at the Morayfield BP at 9.00am for a 9.30am ride out. This gives us plenty of time.

Here is the BP:

Good thing you put that pic up Diesel- I was going to the BP on the Highway Northbound!  I wonder if anyone else thought that, since it's a common meeting place.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Yep, that's where I was going to head to Bill, until I had a second look.
So all you Brisbane people note that the meeting point is NOT the usual BP on the Bruce Hwy this time.
I'm sure Diesel's just checking to see if we're paying attention! :thumb

I'll be going solo on this one. Marissa and I have a Ulysses Christmas party to go to on Saturday night,  so she's chosen to give this ride a miss so its not so rushed at the end of the day to get ready.

See you all in the morning  :thumbs

My son drove up/back Tarong way yesterday - said there was lots of roadworks, and on the Blackbut Range the traffic lights were half-hour turnaround (a quarter to the hour one way, and a quarter past the hour back down).

See you at Burpengary in the morning (or at K).
Cheers

A lovely day out in the WARM Qld sunshine, with excellent company.  Good to blow out the cobwebs on the trip home too.

On the journey up from Morayfield.  Why did we stop at St. Vinnie's again?

Looking for some shade in the 31 degree Kingaroy warmth:

Unfortunately a couple were still back at the RSL waiting for their coffee :(

The line up:

Are the red ones hotter or cooler?

Cheers

Diesel's (and Mrs Diesel's Pics)....

The meeting point at Morayfield....

Mrs Diesel (Marianne) tailed by a hunting pack of ST Sports Tourers cruising the highways!   <----------  (Over hacked caption syndrome!)

Some nice rear ends......

Diesel in his 15 mins of fame, photographed with ST SUPERSTAR - ORSM!!!!!!...

Thanks for puttin up with yet more paparizzi shots Brian!

Margaret & Hadley - owners of a gorgeous Charcoal ST13....

Dave & Grumpy next to their lovely brand spankers Wing!..

And a groupie to finish with....

Chose a route home on some lonely, long straight roads with some great sweepers.

It was quite invigorating, to say the least. I still don't know how I wasn't jabbed in the ribs by the Minister for War and Finance on numerous occasions!

A great big thanks to all for attending and making this a day to remember.

Great to see old and new faces having a ball!

Thanks for viewing. Diesel and Marianne

Damm..............I wish I could have been there!  Looks like you guys had a really great day. Good roll up, and nice looking G/W.

I went for a ride with a mate who was riding his almost new 700cc Hyasung cruiser yesterday. We got as far as Sorell (85kls) when he went to change down a gear and his foot slipped off the gear lever.........on looking down he found his boot was covered in oil.......on stopping we found that the side of his bike was also covered in oil.....bugger, that was the end of our ride. Fortunately we were both riding solo so I was able to pillion him back to Nubeena, pick up his trailer and reurn to Sorell, load the bike and return home again.

We couldn't see where the oil was coming from but it was dripping out from under the bike when the motor was running.

Sort of messed the day up "completely".

It was my first ride after fitting my new rear tyre, o'well, it could of been worse, it might have been my bike.....and at least I had a ride!
There are many paths to the top of the mountain.....but we all need to find our own way!

Hmmm- Chinese built m/c!
First bad report I've seen, but you gotta wonder if these early copies have been debugged.

Reminds me of those Chery SUVs with the roof rails that must not be used- for appearances only.

Thanks for the write up & pics. A bit too far to do in the short amount of time. I was on-call for work and couldn't even go for for a fang at all. :cuss

Am I the only Vic member? We've got a couple of nice roads to ride down here and the weather's not bad (all the time  :rofl)

Hey LocuST...........you're almost close enough to be called a Taswegian.

There are other Victorian members, you could search for them through the members list. I'm an ex Victorian myself, albeit 43 years ago!!
Born & schooled in Elsternwick, Melbourne...................similar weather to TASSIE..............just not quite so cold in winter.

You do have some nice roads to ride..............but guess what..........................we have some better ones!!

Good to hear there's more in Vic. I'll have to get at shirt and sticker!

My local Ulysses branch is more interestered palying dress-ups and bitching than bikes.
I think they think they've done it all. I've lost intrest.
