anyone else heading from Geelong?  Im planning on riding up via Ceres, Stieglitz, Meredith, Ballan, Blackwood...maybe we could meet up enroute and ride together?

Google maps says my squiggly route is about a 2hr ride.  Im not a speed demon and dont know some of those backroads so well. planning on leaving  around 11ish giving myself plenty of time to cruise and stop for a drink along the way, probably be in Meredith @ 12ish, (or a bit before..happy to stop and have a coffee) Ballan @ 12:40, arriving at Lyonville about 1:30....pretty conservative estimates but might serve as a rough guide if people are interested in riding together.

will check back here tomorrow night!

Cheers

Al

  • John & Kate (are you guys bringing the FNQ flag?)

We may have not been able to pack our riding gear for this trip, but our shirts and the flag are definitely the first into the bag.
We've missed the Big Wet, so far, but please spare a thought for our Townsville OzSTOCers.

Cheers, John&Kate.

Don't forget .......

Anyway, the idea was to meet at Mount Macedon at the Top of the Range Tea Rooms and Cafe at around 10:00am.  Some will walk to the Memorial Cross, some (me) will have a coffee or tea, then ride as a group, or separately to Lyonville.  The later lunch allows more time.

https://www.facebook.com/topoftherange.mountmacedon

With lunch now at 2:00pm, and extra hour up our sleeve, I'll probably have to do the walk to the Memorial Cross.  Not such a bad idea as it may earn me the right to have a vanilla slice, or two.

If you are meeting us at Mount Macedon, please indicate you intention.  But NO, I'm not gunna post a response by response up date.  I'll let Jonathon or Garry do that.

I got ahead of myself last weekend and thought it was on last Sunday. Thanks to Marcus I didn’t end up riding in 35C+ temps to Lyonville for lunch with Pat Malone.

Looking forward to meeting you all Sunday

When I did tour guiding for Japanese tourists in Cairns I got up at 0200, went to the airport to greet a plane at 0400 only to check my work for the day and find out my pax were on a domestic flight arriving at 1000.

Made it home just after 7.00pm. The weather was fantastic for a days riding. Started the day at 11 degrees and finished at 26 degrees. It was great to see everyone today with such a good turnout. I have included a few of the photos l took today. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next event.
