Pic-a-Part
« on: April 03, 2014, 06:14:21 PM »
Here is a new game for you to test and impart your ST knowledge. The idea of the game is a picture of a part from an ST will be posted and you need to:

- Name the Part
- Where it belongs
- What purpose it serves on the bike

If you correctly pick the ST part the right to post your own Pic-a-Part is yours to post...... :thumbsup

Simple Rules:

-The original poster of the Pic-a-Part is the judge.
-Only when the part is correctly identified and confirmed by the Judge may you post your part.
-If the game becomes stagnant a hint may be give by the original poster at their discretion.
-The part must be from a standard ST1100/1300 and NOT a farkle.

Think how this game may help increase the working knowledge of those new to the ST.

Enjoy the game and the knowledge you gain  :popcorn

Washer that fits the the banjo fitting for the fuel pump assembly.  Both washers should be replaced when you install a new fuel filter.  Haynes manual ch4-23.

I think there i a fundamental problem with this game.

The more competitive types are going to dismantle their bikes in an attempt to capture pictures of ever more obscure parts from some where deep in the bowels of their bikes.

Could lead to a rash of tech support requests!!

Thats cheating Turtle, using inside information.....

But correct..

After a front tyre change, there was a scraping noise from the front end. The pic is what I found. Yes I did ring the place concerned and let them have it both barrels.

The front left caliper was flopping back and forth, the bolt about to jump ship. Fortunately no damage done.

Oh, by the way, Turtle, you are it....
