Iphone Speedo Apps

With all this talk about Speeds and fines and the like, and with my ST1100 Speedo being not the most accurate (and my car not being far behind), i just wanted to share two apps i use.
 
I have taken screenshots of them both on my phone so you can see how they look, i started using the free one ages ago as i wanted something more accurate, it has the nice display easy to read, but i have moved to the digital version, both work really well it works off a GPS setup and uses bugger all data, has really helped me get an accurate speed reading rather than guessing that i am doing the speed limit.

I use the free SpeedView with Android and works well.
Our Railway Subaru Forrester's are actually only 92kph when speedo showing 100kph 
My ST1300 is doing 94kph when Speedo showing 100kph

My iPhone Serves as my GPS, Phone, Speedo, Music, Radio (so i can listen to cricket or rugby and stuff)

get hold of a ex police speedometer they are calibrated with 2km increments so the police knew when to pull you over, thats why they would take 2kms off your speed to make your speeding fine look more affordable.

My ex police is 1k out at 100k,s and spot on at 110. Thats by GPS of course. This may help.

The problem with most GPS units is they switch between read-outs so frequently that they are not reliable.  The only instantaneous readout that is available is the one from your accurately calibrated bike/car driven speedo, preferably in the digital format so there's no parallex error.

Different GPSs seem to display the speed more consistently. My Garmin 660 fluctuates all the time, even on a flat rod with the cruise control on and the speedo needle not changing. It also does this in the car comapred to the digital speedo option I have.  Other GPSs I have used are a bit steadier.  The Navig8r brands I used had a display option of a full screen analogue or digital speed readout.
