Title: Rear shock spring
Post by: Frenchy on January 05, 2017, 08:11:37 PM
Hi all,

I have a 2002 ST - rear shock Spring is blue
Can someone advise if this is a std unit or possibly a stronger spring
Mainly used for commuting and seemed reasonably firm, set on the 2nd hardest position
I just checked a post where it suggests approx 1.5 inch loaded sag.
On the centre stand 220mm - on the ground with me on it (80kg) 198mm now set on 2nd softest
Will go for a ride tomorrow to see what diff it makes

My bike is a 98 ex police. original strut has blue spring. fitted an adjustable pneumatic strut because I was hitting bottom why too much and figures original strut was worn.

cheers,
