More info from Colin - the bike has good tyres, pannier boxes, smaller shoei helmet with headset, a bike cover and ctek battery charger.

... and a Sheepie.

Is the year confirmed?

It's times like this I wish I had a bigger shed to put a beauty like this on ice for a year or two.

Not confirmed yet Biggles.
Colin will get back to me soon but the colour suggests that it probably is  :thumb

Colins father thinks it may be an 02. It has a non adjustable screen so i'd say that's correct.
I'm sure they didn't have the electric screen until 03.

It also comes with a Size S Shoei helmet with comms as pictured.
Like the bike it appears to have had not much use and is in VGC.

I wouldnt even consider the helmet, it may look ok but who knows its history. For me, second hand helmets are a no go.

The cord coming out of the helmet looks like a Starcom unit, which implies the bike may have a Starcom system under the seat.
You're right regarding the year, if the screen is fixed.  Except to my knowledge the first ST13 was 2003.  I was unaware there was a red version- most are silver.
Get him to lift the seat and read the label on the frame.

I'm positive that specific red colour was only available on 2002 to mid 2003 models.
I know DB5's bike is the same colour and is a 02 or 03.
My 03 was silver with an electric screen.
You are right about the starcom i reckon.

Coms plug looks a little big for Starcom and the lead is too short unless there is a lot inside the helmet.

Nup. That plug goes into the curly cord that then plugs into the tail attached to the plastic cowl.

It's the plain red, not the Candy Glory- I get that.
I just dug this out of the release info:
"The ST1300 is available in Teal, Red, and Silver in Europe; Red only in Australia; Silver only in N.America. "

Yes the plug goes into the curly lead but on all three of the headsets I have the plug hangs about 200mm below the helmet.

A message that i missed this morning :

Set up with a 2 way unit on it to talk to the driver

A bit more info just now :

It's got a uniden on it
He is going to take more pics and find more about the comms unit.

I have provided a link to Colin so he and his father can check it out.

OK. The set I have the lead is only about 150mm long and I kept it tucked in the liner so only 100mm protruded when deployed (I kept the plug tucked in the liner when not in use).
