MotoCAP Australia Lab Tour - Saturday 18 November 2023
« on: November 05, 2023, 08:53:18 AM »
A post from Vic on AusTouring:

Hi Everyone,

Whilst at the MotoGP, I got talking to one of the research fellows who runs the lab at MotoCap Australia. MotoCap is an independent tester of motorcycling equipment closely aligned with Deakin University, Geelong.

After chewing Chris' ear off for half an hour, and to get rid of me, he offered a tour of his laboratory facility if I could pull together an interested group of around 10-20 riders. The tour is planned for Saturday 18th November at 10AM

I have 10 interested participants already including a few from here who i have spoken with. There are up to 10 spots remaining and if you would like to come along please reply and I will put you on the list. Also feel free to ask any questions.

MotoCAP are doing some amazing work on assessing the safety of motorcycle gear and even challenging some entrenched EU standards. Check out their website (you will be surprised in regards to some findings) https://motocap.com.au/

If anyone from here is interested, post here and I'll advise Vic.

The tour is for approximately two hours, after which some are riding down the GOR (but not me); some are meeting for lunch (me).  I'll be taking the Twin Cab or Mazda, may have a spare seat or three.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)
