I need to test out some wet weather gear and brush up on my wet roads skills so will be there regardless, coming from Lowood probably out through Boonah etc.. then maybe Queen Mary falls Warwick on way back.  The Bureau forcast 20mm rain for Thursday with thunderstorms hail etc.. and we got nothing so my confidence is a tad dented in weatherforcasts

Honda GL1800 General Questions / Re: Well I never.

I feel better knowing its happened before. I think I rode the ST with a flattish tyre too.  I went on a mens shed ride and the front tyre felt funny on the way to the shed but was then ok till I was nearly home. By the time I put a tyre gauge on it it was flat.
I am amazed that heavy bikes can cope with such low pressures. Very firm rubber I guess

When I bought my ST from a dealer in Cairns, I found it handled like rubbish, and I also had a "What have I done!" moment, and assumed that's what a heavy bike was like to ride.   However, once I put some air in the tyres, the difference was remarkable.   Clearly Cairns Honda did a pretty slack pre delivery check on my new bike.
