MetalGear has kindly offered a 10% discount to OzSTOC Members who shop for ST parts with them.
I can personally recommend the quality of their products and service, having been a customer for a while, and our friend Jeff Dumke will always be available to help with any extra queries you may have.
Jeff says:
When members of OzSTOC proceed to the checkout in our web-store they will have the opportunity to deduct 10% of their total order by entering OZSTOC14 into the coupon field. Of course this only applies to ST products.
You can also have this code applied when you go into the store and pick-up your goods.
Here is a ST fitment parts list:

Just ordered another set - great stuff these.
-
Tried to order from Metal gear last night and the coupon code no longer works.
Just rang them direct, and after checking with her supervisor, the receptionist informed me they no longer do the coupons, so no 10% off. :'(
Prices still seem very reasonable so will still order from them.

Really surprised to hear that. When I made my last purchase on 27/01/15 there was no mention of the term "coupon" and they were keen to allow me 10% discount for OzSTOC membership.

I've been getting my pads from them for a while, I go through rear pads much fast than front pads. Petty they have removed the 10% discount, bummer.

**UPDATE**
Hi Chris,
Thank You for your email. I have been in touch with Jeff and he has authorised me to extend this coupon. It will still be OZSTOC14 that needs to be entered at checkout through our website. If you or any of your members have any dramas using the code don't hesitate to contact us :)
Jeff asked if you could please keep us up to date with how the forum is going and advise if there are any changes etc.
Hope you have a great day.
Kind Regards,
Caitlin Armstrong

Thanks Chris ST2UP for this update on the Metalgear products OzSTOC discount. I'm hoping to buy a new rear disc and 3 pad sets. :thumb

You stand to save a motza over Honda prices. Their gear is good quality.

Looking at their site and there is the "Organic" and "Sintered" options. Anyone have any experience with each and can advise the difference is performance (if any)?
-
If you read the pad descripton, it explains what the sintered and organic intended purpose is. I think I have the sintered in my bike. They work well.

Yep, I read the intended purpose of each, however real world experience can sometimes be a different story.

:popcorn I too am very interested in the answer :popcorn

I've got the sintered pads in my ST1300...
I'm been very happy with them and will certainly use them again. :runyay

Do they have good feel, especially for the front? I don't know what my 1100 currently has, but the lever is very firm with little stopping power, and if I need to stop quickly I have to apply a lot of pressure to get the bike to pull up.
-
Yep, good feel and they have no trouble hauling me, Sue & the mighty ST to a stop...and we're no light-weights! :rofl
Oh, one thing though, sintered pads are a little noisier than organic when applied...
-
I forgot to mention, my other ST1300 has different brand pads and braking effort is a bit higher than the ST with the metal gear pads... :thumbsup

The Organic pads wear a little quicker, and suit day to day running around, The sintered pads wear longer, and are suited for the heavier touring bike travelling at higher speeds. Which ever pad you settle on, Metal gear pads are top quality and are very easy to change.
Metal gear also do a very good disc replacement as well at a very competitive price.
