Our Tesla Model Y
« on: September 22, 2022, 04:08:14 PM »
Late yesterday we picked up our Tesla Model Y (Zeus), and I'm loving it already.

Got home with 39% battery after a bit of driving last night, and it has cost only $9 to top it up.

Went to Woolies to get the groceries, plugged in for free for 40 minutes. Added 2,000 W, and it took only 464 W to get there.

Zeus ate all the groceries in one mouthful.

How safe is all that electricity out in the rain?    :grin

Love the colour, and of course, the klever plate.  With fuel savings like that you'll pay for it in no time!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I took Zeus down to the Gold Coast yesterday for a Ceramic coating treatment.

Vik was very thorough and asked me to stay and watch.

Arrived at 7:30 am, he was working on it by 8:00, and didn't finish until 3:30 pm.

Rinsed, shampooed, rinsed, clay blocked, hand dried, blow dried, taped, fine polished, superfine polish, treated inside and out all surfaces including glass.

Came home through a shower of rain and the water was beading so well if the bonnet and glass I hardly needed the wipers.

Yes it will be.

I just have to convince the finacial controller.

I can charge for free at the local Woolworths at 4 kW (16 A) or at Ikea on the 22 kW 3 phase units.

Go Team Blue!

I'm loving it. So cheap to run.

Just find out I can charge for free at 22 kW at Ikea in the next suburb, or at 30c/kWh at 50 kW.
