Hi Everyone,
I have a little problem with my panniers.
One lock on each won't lock - That's annoying.
Now the other lock on one of them won't unlock- Very annoying because it holds my backpack with my phone, glasses and laptop.
Fortunately, I have a PC & spare glasses.
Has this happened to anyone else, and is there anything short of a locksmith or breaking the lock?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Gnomad.

I have the same issue on the LH rear lock.
Those locks have a little tab that covers the key way and it has a habit of breaking after a while or the little spring in their fails and cause the tab to fall to the bottom of the key way so the key won't go all the way in.
The locks are fairly easy to remove and which might make it easier to remove anything that has fallen in there.
Only other option is a new lock barrel but that means a new key or getting the tumblers moved around to suit the old key if that's possible.
You would need get in there and check it out.

If you use a thin piece of wire, with a tiny dab of super glue, you should be able to fish out the piece of plastic if you are careful.

I had to use a sewing needle to get the broken brittle plastic out, you could try using a vacuum if its got heaps of suction, but you may need a needle to break up the bits if they get caught up. then make sure all the plastic is removed from the keyway that Alan explained. :grin
